Jarrod Skalde out! Georgetown Fires Head Coach. ..

GEO press release

The Georgetown Millers Hockey Club have relieved head coach Jarrod Skalde of his duties.

"We are thankful for everything Jarrod has given this club over the years, but our recent play has been unacceptable and we feel a new voice is needed in the locker room and on the bench. We wish Jarrod the best in his future and are confident that he will be very successful in his next coaching job."

A legendary name in Central Kentucky hockey has been tapped to replace Skalde. Roy Sommer, former coach of the AHL Kentucky Thoroughblades, will take over the position immediately. Sommer has signed for the rest of the season with a mutual option for next season. Coach Summer will hold a press conference Thursday afternoon.

At this time there are no other changes within the Millers coaching staff.
