Chinook double up Thunder 4-2


NIAGARA – Panarin had a power-play goal in the middle of the second period and two assists as the Calgary Chinook defeated the Niagara Thunder 4-2 on Tuesday night.

Giordano, Niederreiter and Pavelski also scored as the Chinook extended their winning streak to three games. Howard made 33 saves. The goal was Giordano second goals in as many games, he had zero goals in the previous 11 games. “It feels great to have the monkey off the back. “Said, Giordano. “Hopefully I can continue the streak and help the team wins.”

Atkinson and DeAngelo scored for the Bruins. Montoya made 34 saves. Thunder traded goaltender Rinne to the Hamilton Tigers after the loss.

Giordano and Letang both left the game early in the first period. They will be ready for the next game against the Wisborg Donuts.

After the reuniting of the first line of Panarin, Crosby and Pavelski, they have been very productive with all four goals are scored by this line. “It is always fun to play against the Thunder. They bring really hard games here in this building. When you are on the top line, you have to produce. That's what you like as a player, to have that kind of pressure on you. You want to play your best game.” Said Crosby.
