Changes in Springfield

There has been a variety of changes in Springfield over the last month and maybe more to come.  For a general recap here is some of the more recent moves to impact the Isotopes:

SUD trades A. Dell to SPR for Jo. Benn & SPR 11th-18...
As previously noted, there were some problems in net for the Isotopes that warranted making some changes to ensure that there was actually someone in net for the next game.  Aaron (good name) Dell was brought in from Sudbury to help out.  Dell is a player who has paid his dues on his way to becoming a solid backup in the NHL, owning a solid SV% this year was an important stat when he was brought onto the team.  Jordie Benn leaves the Isotopes after spending less than a year with the team, he is a good low pairing defenseman but was getting no ice time in Springfield.
The results of this trade have not been great as Springfield is in a losing skid but hopefully Dell will be a solid backup in the future.

SPR signs R. Bachman
Bachman was brought on to keep the bench warm while both goalies have been out with injury.  If it were not for a last minute deal for Dell, Bachman may have seen his first start of the season.  It is highly likely that Backman will be a healthy scratch once everyone else is healthy.

DAY trades N. MacKinnon to SPR for J. McCann, Victor Mete-p, Jeremy Roy-p, Warren Foegle-p, Danill Tarasov-p, DAY 2nd-18 & SPR 4th-18...
Something of a blockbuster brought Nathan MacKinnon to the Isotopes.  This move was seen as a way of solidifying the ‘topes down the middle for years to come.  Much has already been written about this deal but the hope is that MacKinnon will not only help this year but continue to develop to be the #1 C that we have all been waiting for.
