Ice replaced in Springfield

As many of you know there have been some issues with the ice in Springfield and GM Stacey made the call to replace all the ice in the Duff Centre after the events on Thursday, November 2nd.
For those who are unaware, in an uncharacteristic loss, the Isotopes lost both goalies and were forced to put local sieve Cam Fowler in net in the lobsided 9-4 losing endeavor against Las Vegas.
Sergei Bobrovsky was injured early in the first period when he caught a rut in the ice but remained in the match until he caught another rut in the second and appears to be injured for 4 days. At this point, this is when things got a little wacky, as when Isotopes between backup Roberto Luongo was called upon he caught yet ANOTHER rut in the ice as he skated from the bench to the net. Yes, you got that right the stat line for Luongo was 0 minutes played and was then injured for 4 days as well.
With both goalies out, the Isotopes fans in tears, and no one to man the net, Cam Fowler was 'voluntold' to play net and promptly let 5 goals in.

"We felt we were doing a disservice to our team with the ice in disrepair. We recently had a peewee team play a tournament and it seems to have caused some serious damage to the ice", said GM Stacey, "We removed every bit of that ice and hopefully we won't lose our backstoppers again.”
Both Bobrovsky and Luongo are expected to return tomorrow but the Isotopes have a crowded net with the recently acquired Aaron Dell and Richard Bachman(more details on those transactions to come). Apologies for the delayed articles as visiting royalty (parents in town) had impacted Isotopes management.
