DAYTON'S 30 GAME WINLESS STREAK ENDS WITH WIN OVER ISOTOPES!!!

It took 49 days...

The streak...

Dayton went 0-28-2 in their last 30 games, over a period of 49 days...

The last time Dayton won a game was on October 13th, when they beat Niagara Falls.

The goal scorers that night for the Musicmen were Alex Barkov, Sean Monahan, Jake Guentzel and Francois Beauchemin. Only Beauchemin remains a Musicman. The winning goaltender that night was Brian Elliot.

A lot has changed since then.

Tonight the goal scorers for Dayton were Adam Cracknell, Jason Pominville, Tom Pyatt, Mikhail Grigorenko and Francois Beauchemin. The winning goaltender tonight was Mike Smith.

"Yes, yes - there's been a lot of changes since the start of the season," said Beauchemin. "Coach gives us a plan, it's our job to execute the plan. With all the changes, it's been hard to get a familiarity going with your defensive partner or your linemates. The last week or so, the lineup's been mostly stable. We got a few guys back from the DL. It all adds up."

Beauchemin had a strong effort tonight with a goal (5) and an assist, a +2, 2 blocked shots and 3 hits in 24 minutes of ice time. "Yes, it felt good tonight...nice to get the two points." he said.

What's next?

The team will be boarding a flight at 12:45AM for New York City where the Musicmen will play the Long Island Express tomorrow night at 7:05pm. That will wrap up the intra-conference portion of the season and the rest of the games will be played against teams within the Corfield Conference from this point on.

The Canosa Conference has clinched the season series with a 20 game lead with 11 games remaining.

With the trading of Damon Severson earlier today to the Sudbury Miners for two prospects, Mark Barberio was the team's 7th defenseman tonight and played 7 minutes.
